Dr. Matovu, in 2017 joined EYDI as consultant on Prevention of Violence Against Children and Adolescent project on Bussi Island, With vast experience and technical expertise, as new EYDI Board Treasurer.

With vast experience in community development from Kabubbu Development Project, USAID & UNICEF and Water Compass a regional Centre of excellence focusing on building capacity and strengthening community lead total sanitation in Catt le Corridor in Uganda. He is Deputy Director Quality Assurance Director-Metropolitan International University, Lecturer-Kampala University & Islamic University in Uganda respectively. And he holds a PhD in PA. Local Government Administration & Development- Coventry University UK, Masters of P.A - Local Government Administration & Development, Bachelor of Social Work & Social Administration.
